Food made with pure love! The service is always wonderful, and I’ve honestly been here countless times over the years. For me, it’s impossible to visit Lebanon without stopping by at least once a week.. it’s that special! What I love most is how consistent everything has been; the flavors never change, always the same authentic taste that keeps me coming back. I’m even sharing photos from my most recent visit, along with some from years ago, just to show you how this place has stood the test of time. A true Lebanese classic that never disappoints!

Tucked away in the lively streets of Bourj Hammoud, Resto Ghazar is a must-visit for anyone seeking an authentic taste of Armenian cuisine in Beirut. Whether you’re new to Armenian food or grew up with it, Resto Ghazar delivers a memorable dining experience that feels both nostalgic and exciting. The menu offers a rich selection of traditional Armenian dishes, prepared with care and consistency. The manti, tiny meat dumplings served with a yogurt-garlic sauce and topped with spices, is a standout dish that many regulars swear by. Another signature favorite is the cherry kebab – a sweet and savory combination that balances tart cherries with grilled meat in a surprisingly harmonious way. Vegetarians will find plenty to enjoy as well. The itch (Armenian bulgur salad) and cold stuffed eggplants are both flavorful and satisfying. The sujuk and cheese rolls, made with spicy Armenian sausage, are the perfect appetizer to share. And of course, no meal is complete without their lahm b3ajin, which are among the best in town – thin, crisp, and generously seasoned. The setting is modest but warm. With simple decor and a few tables inside and out, note that indoor smoking is allowed, which might be off-putting for some diners. Resto Ghazar may not be the most polished or modern restaurant in Beirut, but it embodies the spirit of Bourj Hammoud: rich in heritage, full of heart, and proud of its culinary roots. If you’re craving a hearty, authentic Armenian meal in a relaxed setting, this local gem won’t disappoint.

Very warm Armenian restaurant in Beirut. Staff are friendly welcoming. Dishes are delicious. They don't offer Frog Leggs anymore, but you can find all the ingredients of the Armenian Kitchen in a very nice and friendly atmosphere. Would recommend the local Arak. Prices are very affordable . You can park your car on the main street nearby instead of trying to drive through the very narrow surrounding streets.
